A return shot for Tom: Go out and purchase a used 500 pound implement that someone has used very roughly with a big tractor and bent the 3 point frame so that the left and right pins are no longer in line with each other. Back up square to it and try to attach it without telescoping links. You will soon develop a greater appreciation for telescoping links!

Probably not a former IBM mainframe system type. A former IBM mainframe system person would know how to put together a system that works. It was probably a SUV driving, bicycle riding, cell phone using Yuppie fresh out of college who thinks he knows 50 times more about information technology than he actually does trying to create his first real world system and failing badly.

RickB is right. My 1925 had the same problem with the switch. The dealer adjusted it and I have had no problem since.

Assuming the manufacturer is truthful, horsepower is the same whether gas or diesel. I traded a 32hp gas Ford 2000 for a 33hp diesel NH 1925 and they are very similar in horsepower. I figure I lose about 5hp with the hydro transmission, but that is almost entirely offset by 4wd. The 1925 pulls almost as well as the 2000 when pulling irrigation creases. What is not the same is the fuel consumption. The diesel uses about 2/3 the fuel that the gas tractor used. Of course, the diesel engine is only about 2/3 the size of the gas one!

A 1925 is pretty similar to a TC-33. No super steer, but same horsepower. I have some literature from NH that calls it a Boomer, so I guess it was the first in the Boomer line. My 1925 runs just fine, no problems after 80 hours. You will love the hydro.

Don't know if KU has them, but telescoping link arms are a godsend (especially if you have a 600# implement). Well worth the extra money.

It seems to me that if you are pushing the weight limits that closely, you might want to be looking at bigger tractors. I don't recall ever seeing a 2000 pound implement with Cat 1 pins on it.

Why not find a Boomer picture you like on the NH site or a dealer site and save it? Nobody will care if you copy a picture of a tractor from them.
